Located within the rural landscape of Oisu, the School and Community Complex explores how contemporary public architecture can emerge from the atmosphere, scale, and traditions of the Estonian countryside. Conceived as a compact timber structure organized around a planted central atrium, the project brings together spaces for learning, culture, sports, and community life within a clear and human-scaled architectural form.

The architectural language draws inspiration from traditional Baltic rural buildings and the historic Oisu manor, reinterpreting familiar forms through elongated volumes, pitched roofs, and a restrained material expression. Large openings create strong visual connections to the surrounding landscape, while the building’s placement strengthens links between the manor park, the town, and new public outdoor spaces.
