Waterfront residential buildings in Riga

Situated on Andrejsala, a former city cargo port northwest of Riga’s historic center, the site borders the Daugava River and links the dense urban fabric with open riverside spaces. The project continues the vision by combining human scale, mixed-use density, and sustainable design strategies to create a lively and inclusive urban quarter.

The project reinterprets the industrial heritage of the port through building forms, materials, and colors inspired by shipping containers and historic structures. Segmented façades, height gradation, and varied rooflines create a human-scaled, dynamic environment that balances modern living with Riga’s historic identity, fostering a lively, accessible, and visually cohesive district.
